What fees apply when using the RaffleTix platform?

RaffleTix has no setup fees, monthly subscription fees, or ongoing account fees. 

There are only two fees associated with using the RaffleTix platform:

1. RaffleTix Platform Fee – 4.4% (incl. GST) of ticket sales revenue.
2. Stripe Payment Processing Fee – 1.70% + $0.30 per transaction (Stripe standard pricing).

RaffleTix Platform Fee

The RaffleTix Platform Fee is 4.4% (incl. GST) of ticket sales revenue, excluding any Stripe Payment Processing Fees charged to ticket buyers.

This fee applies to all sales recorded on the platform, including in-person cash sales.

The RaffleTix Platform Fee cannot be passed on to ticket buyers.

Stripe Payment Processing Fee

The Stripe Payment Processing Fee is levied by Stripe, the payment processing service.

Stripe's standard pricing is 1.70% + $0.30 per transaction. This includes Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

You can choose whether to absorb these fees or pass them on to ticket buyers during the raffle setup process.

Most organisations choose to pass these fees on to ticket buyers.

Example

A ticket buyer selects a ticket bundle worth $50.00.

If the raffle organiser has chosen to pass Stripe Payment Processing Fees on to buyers:

• Ticket bundle price: $50.00
• Stripe Payment Processing Fee: $1.17
• Amount paid by buyer: $51.17
• RaffleTix Platform Fee: $2.20 (4.4% of $50.00)

The RaffleTix Platform Fee is calculated on the ticket sale value only.

When do I pay the fees?

RaffleTix invoices the raffle organiser for the RaffleTix Platform Fee at the conclusion of the raffle.

Stripe deducts the Stripe Payment Processing Fee prior to remitting funds to the bank account associated with the Stripe account.
