The various States and Territories have different rules and regulations regarding the length of time a raffle can be open. These rules will also vary depending on whether your raffle requires a permit or not.
As a general rule of thumb, raffles with a large prize pool value (e.g. greater than $30,000) that require a Permit in the various States and Territories, will run for 3 to 6 months.
Raffles with a smaller total prize pool value (e.g. less than $30,000) typically run for less than 3 months.
